DESCRIPTION:Dear Cub Leaders\, \n\nWe are delighted to invite your Cubs to the Rotherham District Cub Badge Day\, taking place on Saturday 26th September 2026 at Hesley Woods Scout Activity Centre. \n\nThis promises to be a fantastic day packed with adventurous activities\, new skills\, and plenty of fun with Cubs from across the District. \n\nDate: Saturday 26th September 2026 \nTime: 9:00am – 5:00pm \nVenue: Hesley Woods Scout Activity Centre \nCost: £7.50 per youth member \n\nBadge Work \n\nDuring the day\, Cubs will work towards the following badges and skills: \n\nBackwoods Cooking \nPioneering \nNavigation Skills \n\nThe programme has been designed to be practical\, hands-on and engaging\, giving every Cub the opportunity to develop new skills while enjoying the outdoors. \n\nWhat to Bring \n\nPlease ensure all young people bring: \n\nFull Cub Scout uniform (to wear on arrival) \nSuitable outdoor clothing \nSturdy footwear or walking boots \nWaterproof coat \nPacked lunch \nRefillable drinks bottle\nSmall amount of money got the camp site shop. \n\nA juice station will be available throughout the day for young people to refill their drinks bottles\, and a tea and coffee station will be available for leaders. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \nLeaders \n\nPlease ensure your group is accompanied by sufficient leaders to maintain the appropriate adult-to-young-person ratios. \n\nIf you have any leaders or helpers who would be willing to assist with running activity bases during the day\, we would greatly appreciate your support. \n\nBookings \n\nPlease send all booking requests to Lynn Moore – lynn.moore@syscouts.org.uk \nTo help us plan the activities and resources\, please let us know your numbers as soon as possible.
