In order to take your young people away over night adult must hold a nights away permit suitable for where you are camping. There are 3 types of permit (Indoor, Outdoor or Greenfield) You will be assessed appropriately for the camp you are holding. The nights away permit scheme is an internal assessment scheme designed to ensure that all those leading nights away events for young people within Scouting have the skills, experience and personal suitability to do so.
