Today was the day of our Annual Cub Scout Cooking Competition. On the menu this year were orange fruit cups, chicken and pasta and mars bar and rice krispie cakes. There wasn’t much left over and all the groups that entered had a wonderful time. As the pictures show.
There were three groups that entered this year. The first group was the 10th Rotherham who are based in Treeton. The second was the 27th Rotherham who are based in Woodsetts. The final group was the 30th Rotherham who are based in Herringthorpe.
The judges had to think long and hard about who should win and after a taste test of everyone’s food and watching how they work together as a team they decided a winner.
The 10th Rotherham came in Third place. The 30th Rotherham came in Second place and the 27th Rotherham took first. The judges did say it was an extremely hard decision to make as all Cubs who took part worked together and all teams food was extremely delicious (We even saw Aunty Jackie going back for seconds but don’t tell anyone)
Congratulations to everyone who took part and don’t forget to keep an eye out for next years competition to get your group involved. The next District Cub event will be the Cub Quiz next year. Don’t forget the Christmas Sing and details will be coming out soon.
