26th April 2020 Should’ve been our annual St Georges Day Parade where we will get together to celebrate the Patron Saint of Scouting and renew our promise. Wednesday Night saw our Chief Scout Awards. We were joined by members of all sections of Rotherham Scouts and the Mayor of Rotherham. There were big smiles all around when the children came up front to receive their award. A massive thank you to John and Jackie for organising it for everyone.
On Wednesday 11th the 1st Rotherham Beavers visited Pets at Home to work on their Animal Friend Badge. They had a fun exciting evening where they learnt how to look after their pets and what food they eat.
We recently hosted the Chief Scout Awards at the Carlton Park Hotel where Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers all received the highest award they can get in their section. Today was the day of our Annual Cub Scout Cooking Competition. On the menu this year were orange fruit cups, chicken and pasta and mars bar and rice krispie cakes. If you weren’t like me and stayed up you’ll have probably missed the world Scout Jamboree Opening Ceremony. Featuring an amazing Drone show and Live bands and even Bear Grylls Himself.
