Here in Rotherham we are always on the lookout for people who want to help out in any way possible. It doesn’t always mean working directly with young people, or weekly commitments. We have roles that will suit anyone and everyone!
Below are the current volunteering opportunities we have. To apply or nominate someone for the role, please complete the “Expression of Interest” form at the bottom of the page.
If you’d like an informal conversation about any of the roles on offer, please contact Richard Hinchliffe, District Commissioner, on email@example.com who will be more than happy to speak to you.
District Executive Members (Deadline 20/09/2020)
Rotherham Scouts are governed by the Board of Trustees or District Executive. As a Trustee you will play a significant role in ensuring the District has the right support and resources to effectively manage the provision and programme for the young people.
We are currently looking for a number of people to take on the role of “Elected Executive Member”.
Do you have experience in managing properties? Have you experience of supporting other Trustees? Do you have experience of providing a provision to young people?
If you think you have the skills to support Rotherham Scouts, or have experience in any of the areas listed above, please complete the “Expression of Interest” form at the bottom of the page.
District Appointments Advisory Chair
The Appointments Advisory Committee (AAC) plays an important role in the journey of a volunteer. It’s often a very rewarding and inspiring role as you speak with prospective volunteers to ascertain their suitability for role.
Rotherham Scouts are currently looking for someone to lead the AAC, arranging the appointments process, and ensuring volunteers get the best possible start in their new role.
If you think this could be you, please complete the “Expression of Interest” form at the bottom of the page.
