42nd Rotherham Scout Group in Thorpe Hesley. The cubs and cadets decided to do a sponsored silence to raise money for Shiloh. This amused John as he remembered what an energetic group they were (although they were also well behaved). What’s really amusing is that it was the most boisterous cadet in the group who suggested the sponsored silence!
So could they do it?
Yes of course, they managed an Impossible Silence of 30 minutes each and together they raised an awesome £50 to be donated to Shiloh.
John said, “I wonder what they thought about during their 30 minutes of silence. Perhaps it was those homeless people of Rotherham that come into Shiloh, or maybe the scrumptious hot dinner in the warm caring environment that the guests receive. What is for sure is that every penny of their hard earned donation will go towards providing meals that will be gratefully received by our guests.”
