This year Jota and Joti isn’t open to district. The 30th are having a back to scouting sleep over where I will be doing JOTA and JOTI for them.
Jota (Jamboree on the air) is where Scouts from all over the world get on devices known as Ham Radio’s which allows you to talk to anyone around the world not using the internet but by sending a signal through the sky and hoping someone is listening at the other end.
Joti (Jamboree on the internet) Anyone can do Joti from home or even walking through the town centre. All you need to do is visit the JOTI website and connect to IRC or another official JOTI chat method and talk to scouts all over the world.
So when is Jota and Joti? Jota and Joti is on the 18th and 19th of October and runs for 48 hours straight.
