On Friday, 21st August our group ditched their beds and slept in bathtubs, dens, floors, tents and trampolines to raise money for Action for Children.
We had a virtual Zoom meeting on the evening and the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts played bingo and took part in a quiz. They also told us where they would be sleeping.
In total, the group raised an amazing £750 for the charity, plus £125 Gift Aid. Well done to everyone that were able to take part.
Who are Action for Children?
They’re a UK-based charity that support children and young people. Last year, they helped more than 387,000 children and families across the UK.
Even before coronavirus hit, more than 4.2 million children in the UK were locked in poverty. Now, vulnerable children and their families have reached breaking point.
