On Sunday the 13th of November members of Rotherham District scouts paid their respects to the fallen soldiers of wars such as World War 1 and 2. Wreaths were laid accross the district as a sign of respect.
The 6th Rotherham paid their respects at their meeting. As well as parading in Wath on Sunday.
The 42nd Rotherham had their parade at the Holy Trinity Church and marked it along with their own village brass band.
Just over 12 months ago 27th Rotherham st George’s Woodsetts was short on leaders, cubs and scouts and had no beaver colony at all just look at us now and this is just a few of them at our local church on Remembrance Day we have gone from strength to strength everyone worked so hard from the flag bearers and escorts to the two scouts that did a beautiful reading about two soldiers in WW1 and not forgetting the fantastic leaders who are so very proud of each group we really did make a fabulous impression on the local community a big well done to all involved.
Finally Under glorious blue skies members of Rotherham Explorers and Network paid their annual visit to a crash site in Kinder Scout.
A short reading was lead by Andrew Winfrow before the party paid their respects and left their poppies at the site.
