We have been contacted about letting Scouts go up into the beautiful Yorkshire skies and are being allowed in gliders.
The cost of a flight to 2000ft has stayed the same as last year i.e £30.40
- to book a gliding slot, log onto http://glider.ne-activities.org.uk/ and choose a date
- email Steve Parkinson, County Air Advisor, South Yorkshire Scouts who will book you in and send out an information sheet, a copy of the “temporary membership form” and a copy of the “Air Activity Authorisation Form”
- the “Air Activity Authorisation Form” should be completed and returned to Steve at least two weeks before your booking date
- every member who intends to fly will need to complete the “temporary membership form” with parents/guardians signing it to confirm Scouts weight
- the completed “temporary membership forms” should be handed into YGC reception on your arrival
- please make sure that you contact the YGC to confrim your booking on the Wednesday before 17:00hrs, prior to your booking or you will lose the slot
